Coffin Found On Hard Rubbish Pile In Affluent Suburb Of Melbourne!

Toorak is synonymous with money, old money. The affluent Melbourne suburb is awash with mansions, Bentleys and wide tree lined streets. So when it comes to hard rubbish time you would hope to find some treasures strewn on the footpath. Maybe.

On Monday night photos were shared to a Hard Rubbish Facebook page of a coffin that had been left on the footpath. The unusual item was spotted on Washington Street in Toorak discarded amongst other households items such as a couch, outdoor chairs and a washing machine.

“Hard rubbish day in Toorak! I can pick it up for locals if anyone in my hood thinks their time is near,” one local wrote on Facebook.

“I think it’s unused!”

The coffin even had a metal plaque name plate on it and it appeared to be filled with plastic. Let’s hope it was left out for hard rubbish as the home owner didn’t have a use for it anymore.

It was snapped up pretty quickly, hopefully by someone wanting to use it as a prop for Halloween!

What’s the craziest thing you’ve seen in a hard rubbish pile?
