Giant Inflatable Boob On London Rooftop To Promote Breastfeeding!
The sight of a woman’s breast is still deemed inappropriate to display on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook with all social media platforms quick to pull the images down once they’re uploaded. Actually let me rephrase that- a photo showing a ‘woman’s nipple’ is the culprit- apparently it’s too much for social media to handle so you best be photoshopping that out before uploading your pics!
One image that is out and proud is the giant inflatable boob which was erected on top of a London building over the weekend by an advertising company complete with life-like areola and nipple.
The company’s aim was to try and normalise breastfeeding by dispelling any stigma attached to it. The giant breast took centre stage on the Shoreditch building which was the perfect way to celebrate Mother’s Day in the UK and Ireland.
Advertising company, Mother London wrote in a blog post of their project.
“It’s hard to believe that in 2017 UK mothers still feel watched and judged when feeding public by bottle or beast. This was our Mother’s Day project. A celebration of every woman’s right to decide how and where they feed their children without feeling guilty or embarrassed about their parenting choices. #FreeTheFeed.”

As you can imagine, the response was overwhelmingly positive with many Londoners taking to social media to share an image of the giant boob- complete with NIPPLE! Take that twitter!
