Gordon Ramsay Says His Kids Will Not Be Inheriting His Fortune!

When you think of celebrities with strong opinions one of the first that comes to mind has to be hot-headed chef Gordon Ramsay! He rarely minces his words and is the first to let you know EXACTLY what’s on his mind.

Ramsay surprised people recently when he revealed that his four children won’t be left his multi-million-dollar fortune in his will. Not that they get much now either!

The chef admitted they do not fly first class with him or eat for free at his restaurants. He believes his children should ‘work hard’ for their money just like he did. There is no free- loading or sense of entitlement here!

“They don’t sit with us in first class. They haven’t worked anywhere near hard enough to afford that… I worked my fucking arse off to sit that close to the pilot and you appreciate it more when you’ve grafted for it,” the chef said.

Ramsay’s children, Matilda 15, Jack and Holly, 17, and Megan, 18, will each only receive a 25 per cent deposit to help with their first home from his fortune, despite the fact he owns numerous Michelin-star restaurants.

During a Reddit discussion a few months ago, Ramsay reiterated that he wants to instill a strong work ethic in his kids. “I’ve never been at home seven nights a week cooking for the kids. What I’ve instilled in the kids, from day one, is a work ethic. So, the time we spend together is limited, but quality. I need to protect them and respect the restaurant and team in my restaurant. I made them as normal as possible… they’ve all got jobs, they’ve all taken care of animals, they’ve all got housework. There’s a rota. They get pocket money, but they have to earn that pocket money,” he revealed.

So many kids of celebrities have access to their parent’s fortune at a very young age. Perhaps too young. So many go down the wrong path as they are unable to deal with a life filled with excess. When you give a teenager everything they want how will they ever learn to value their possessions? Perhaps Ramsay is onto something here. How else are his kids going to appreciate the value of the dollar if they don’t work for it?

Managing his kid’s finances isn’t the only way he tries to keep his kids grounded. The chef revealed recently that despite the fact his family is close friends with the Beckhams there is NO way their kids will ever date.

“Three girls and a boy, and three boys and a girl – you’d be amazed at the synergy,” he said in an interview. “We’ve promised that no one dates anybody, and so far…! If Holly said: ‘Yeah Brooklyn and I’… it would be: ‘No Holly.'”

Having heard how Ramsay reacts to mistakes in the kitchen can you just imagine if he ever discovered Holly and Beckham dating?!!
