Grandmother Asks To Be Reimbursed For Looking After The Grandkids!
Grandparents are often called upon by families to look after the grandkids and help out when times are tough. Whether it’s just for a night or over a few days having your kids looked after by your parents or in-laws can be a tremendous help for everyone.
Your kids get to hang out with their grandparents and you can rest safe knowing they’re well looked after. It’s a win win situation really!
Unless you’re this mum. An anonymous woman posted on Mumsnet recently saying that her mum agreed to look after her two kids for a few days instead of having them in childcare but then proceeded to ask for any money she spent on them back!
Not surprisingly her story was met with countless responses of shock and disbelief. One even said “with friends like these who needs enemies?”
Indeed! Considering this grandma hardly spends anytime with her two grandkids anyway you think she’d be more than willing to spoil them in every way possible!
Seems not. By the sounds of things it seems the relationship between mother and daughter are quite strained already. How else would you explain asking for money back that you used to feed your grandchildren? It’s beyond me!
One woman even suggested that the mum just pay her back and be done with it. Almost like a lesson learned. Never ask her to babysit your kids again!
