Japanese 10-year-old Ryusei Has The Physique of Idol Bruce Lee!
This Japanese 10 year old has been working out every day to achieve his dream of looking like his idol Bruce Lee.
Primary schooler Ryusei Imai has become an internet sensation after sharing photos of his chiseled physique on Instagram. His dream has been to look exactly like the buff martial arts legend Bruce Lee.
Hailing from Nara in south-central Honshu the 10 year old has been watching Lee’s movies since he was a baby.
“I want to be as cool as Bruce Lee,” Ryusei says. “I want to move as fast as him.”
Ryusei’s parents noticed that as a youngster he would often mimic Lee’s moves to absolute perfection. In fact his nunchaku skills were second to none!
“The phrase Bruce Lee used to say ‘don’t think, feel’, I can see that feeling coming out of Ryusei’s face,” his father Ryuji Imai says. “It’s the coolest. I love Bruce Lee and so does Ryusei.”
Ryusei training includes stretches, floor exercises as well as daily runs and one-handed push-ups on his knuckles.
“In PE class, whenever I change my clothes, my friends say ‘your muscles are great’,” Ryusei says.
His following on Instagram is massive and includes stars like surfing legend Kelly Slater.
Ruysei’s father says he’s happy with his son’s fame but wants him to focus on doing what he loves.
“I want him to devote himself to what he loves with an honest heart,” his father told a news TV station recently. “And never give up. As long as he remembers that and enjoys himself.”
