Man Refuses To Replace Woman’s Designer Shoes After His Dog Mauls Them!

Man Refuses To Replace Date’s $1,200 Designer Shoes After His Dog Mauls Them!

A man is refusing to compensate his date’s ruined designer shoes after his dog mauled them. Connecting on dating app Tinder, the couple set up a dinner date back at the man’s place. Upon her arrival, the woman was politely asked to take off her shoes before entering. She was happy to oblige and left her designer heels near the front door along with other pairs that were already there.

Taking to discussion forum Reddit, the man says the ‘hookup’ went great until it was time for his date to leave. That’s when she realised one of her shoes was missing.

“When she was leaving, we noticed one of her shoes was missing. We looked around and found my dog chewing on it. It was barely recognisable,” the man wrote.

The man described the woman as a ‘sugar baby’ adding she was wearing designer goods such as a Louis Vuitton bag and Tiffany necklace. Her shoes were a pair of $1,200 Gucci boots which probably explains why shit hit the fan.

Claiming that his dog “doesn’t usually have a problem” with chewing shoes, the man added: “He hasn’t done something like this in years so I couldn’t have expected it.”

Furious about her damaged boots, the woman demanded her date pay for the damage. “But I just don’t have that type of money,” the man said in his post. “If I don’t pay for it, can she pursue legal action?”

Unfortunately for him, fellow Reddit users were honest in their replies saying that the damage was his fault, so he should have to pay to get the shoes fixed.

“You destroyed her property, you need to pay for it,” one wrote, another adding: “Don’t make your guests leave their shoes out if you dog chews them.”

Others had an issue with the man branding the woman a “sugar baby” and acting as if she was being “demanding” by asking him to pay her for the ruined shoes.

“Maybe she earned that money herself,” one stated.  Another added: “It doesn’t matter if she’s a doctor, lawyer, stripper, or sugar baby. You invited her into your home and your dog destroyed her property. You are responsible.”

What do you think? Should the man reimburse his date for the ruined shoes?
