Mum Accidentally Orders French Version Of Peppa Pig Plate And It’s Much Naughtier Than She Expected!
One mum had a very ‘Oh là là’ moment after receiving a Peppa Pig plate set she ordered online which contained a very unexpected and cheeky word!
Imagine Maggy Van Eijk’s surprise upon opening the package of a Peppa Pig plate set for her daughter and realising that she accidentally ordered the French version instead of the English.
Which would be fine if it just meant Peppa was wearing a beret or eating a croissant (stereotypical I know, apologies) but what Van Eijk found was the word ‘groin’ plastered all over the plate. You see, ‘groin’ is the French word for ‘oink’ or more specifically ‘ snout.’
my kid just unwrapped her new peppa dinner set and I accidentally ordered a french version and now it says groin groin groin all over the plates and cup ffs pic.twitter.com/3IfXzVfjTL

“Now it says groin groin groin all over the plates and cup for [for f–ks sake],” she wrote.
Hahahaha! Look, it could’ve been worse I guess. Groin isn’t all that bad in the grand scheme of things. Plus her daughter can learn a learn a new language while eating her carrot sticks!
Van Eijk’s Peppa faux pas has had over 34,000 likes with many cracking up over the language mishap.
“You are in more trouble than you think,” one commenter said. “You will need to explain that the ‘oi’ in ’groin groin’ is pronounced ‘wa.’ So when they meet the English words ‘Oink, oink’ be careful how they pronounce them.”
“I knew French ducks said ‘coin coin’ but didn’t know pigs spoke in groin. Every day’s a school day,” another chimed in..
“Omg. I’m reading this in bed and trying not to wake my husband up with my laughing face with tears of joy,” a third said.
