Mum of Three Divides the Internet By Sharing ‘Relatable’ Messy House On TikTok
A mum of three has shared a video of her ‘relatable’ messy house recently in hopes of making other women feel comfortable about the state of their own homes. What do you think? Did she succeed?
Going by the name ‘tired_mommax3’ the pregnant woman shared the video on TikTok showing her messy home as she was tired of seeing all the aesthetically pleasing ‘tidy’ and ‘clean’ ones online.
“I just want to show everybody what my house looks like because there are a lot of videos out there of all these houses that are absolutely beautiful… clean, pristine, aesthetic,” she said.
“Well… this is my house. So if your house looks like this, we should be friends!”
In a bid to help make other busy mums feel better about the state of their own messy homes the video shows the laundry with shoes and clothes strewn all over the floor. In the kitchen her benches are covered with dirty plates, pots and empty containers, while the living room has much of the same.

With the TikTok video having been viewed over a million times it was to be expected that opinions would differ.
“GIRL YOU HAVE NOTHING TO BRAG ABOUT, WE COULDN’T BE FRIENDS,” commented one person, “I WOULDN’T DRINK A GLASS OF WATER AT YOUR HOUSE.”
Another said, “I had four kids, single mom not ever did my house look that way.”
“That’s just laziness,” added another.
While one person noted that if she wasn’t single now she definitely would be soon. The woman responded in a follow-up video saying if he was going to leave he would have done so a long time ago.
On the flip side, there were many mums who could relate to the mess and thanked the woman for her honesty.
“We should definitely be friends,” write one person. “Bought a sign that says sorry for the mess our standards have lowered with each kid.”
Another added, “I see a mum putting her children before a perfect house.”
“Your house looks like a million other houses, especially with kids. So you do you girl,” wrote another.
