A Melbourne mum, who had enough of watching her teenage son blow all his money getting drunk every weekend, decided to take matters into her own hands to make sure the club banned him until his exams were over!

Empire nightclub in Narre Warren received the following message from the exasperated mum in which she outlines all the reasons why she would like to see her son banned from the establishment.

The first message read: “to whom it may concern, my son has been attending your nightclub on a weekly basis since he turned 18 in March.

I’m in control of his bank accounts and have noticed all of his money has been spent at your venue on a Saturday night. He is currently studying Year 12 and his father and I are worried that not only is he not saving a cent but he is beginning to fall behind in his school work.

‘I’ve spoken to (name deleted) on several occasions but he is struggling to see the big picture.

I’d like to request you impose a ‘ban’ on my son until the end of exams period (November).

Please get back to me on this asap”.

The nightclub posted a screen shot of the conversation onto their Instagram which was followed by a response from the son. It read: “Hey guys this is kinds embarrassing but I think my mum just messaged your page. Unfortunately my mums a b*tch & is immune to having fun, can you just tell her that you’ll ban me.

Thanks guys, see you Saturday.”

Empire nightclub posted the exchange between mother and son with the caption: “When your mum wants you banned but you’re addicted to getting lit.” (‘Lit’ means getting drunk.)

A spokesperson for the nightclub says the teenager has not been banned.
