Mum’s Funny TikTok Comparing Her Hectic Life to the ‘Momfluencers’ Aesthetic Goes Viral
It is glaringly apparent that many of us mums do not live the aesthetically pleasing lives that we see on social media courtesy of “momfluencers”.
There is a basket of laundry on my dining room table right now, next to someone’s plate from yesterday, an empty drink bottle that someone else probably should have taken to school today, and some spilt fish food. I can clean up a bit, sure, but my everyday life is more in line with most family’s – decidedly not insta-worthy.
One mum is going viral for her hilarious video calling out all the perfect mums who seem to have it all together. Sharing her funny clip on TikTok under her handle @failing_full_circle, the mum smashed it with her realism.

“Sometimes I end up on the moms side of TikTok,” she begins, “When they’re like, ‘let’s make cereal for breakfast,’ and then they’re actually like shrucking cereal from scratch for breakfast and everybody’s wearing white linen.”
“I didn’t receive my standard issue white linen robe when we were all becoming parents, apparently I got this instead,” she continues. The woman steps back from the camera and reveals her whole outfit: a grey hoodie and oversized shorts which she reveals are actually her husband’s boxers.
“These are my husband’s boxers so it looks like I have a moose-sized vagina and that’s fine.”
“There’s a very stylistic element to all the videos where all the utensils are wooden,” she says, “They make sure to show off their jawline, all I have is chin hair and acne.”
The woman then appears holding her adorably small dog in one arm when she adds, “And, they’re holding a baby the whole time. This is CiCi, she has dementia.”
Her young daughter can be heard in the background saying that she’s hungry. And, what makes this video even better is when she responds to her, “I’m cooking now, it takes time. I have to go harvest all the grains for your cereal, it’s gonna be a minute.”
“It sounds like a hater,” she explains, “But I’m not. I love those videos and I’m happy for them. If it makes you happy, I’m happy for you.”
“But I just want everybody to know that I cleaned up a milk spill with my sock today,” she admits at the very end.
So relatable. I love her.
