Mums Hilarious Frozen ‘Let it Go’ Parody

The Frozen ‘Let it Go Parody’ Every Mum Should Watch

FROZEN 1The chances are if you have small children, you’ve probably seen Frozen by now right?

Like many parents, I too have been driven bat-shit crazy by my daughter’s incessant requests to watch Elsa sing ‘Let it Go’ as she unleashes her magic to create an ice palace….over, and over, and over again. The first time we watched it Idina Menzel’s voice sent shivers down my spine, maybe even the second time too. But, by the time you hear it for the eleventy-hundreth time, you are more likely to start twitching and rocking in the corner!

But given the choice between, let’s say “Gangnam Style’ and ‘What does the fox say?” I’ll be honest I’ll take ‘Let it Go’ any day. The message it delivers of accepting yourself for who you are is something I endeavor to teach my children. But…I wonder, do we always practice what we preach?

Californian blogger Deva Dalporto from ‘My Life Suckers‘ Youtube parody of ‘Let it Go,’ has gone viral after she (in her words) made her ‘own mommmy-fied version.’

“The Let It Go chorus spoke to me on a whole different level. Once upon a time, I tried to be the perfect mom, with the perfect house and the perfect career and ended up being an exhausted, cranky, crazy woman. Now I think the only way to do this parenting thing, and do it right, is to Let It Go and do the best you can. Rock your muffin top in your messy house and laugh at the insanity of it all!”

We couldn’t agree more!

Have you had to learn to “Let it Go’ since becoming a parent?

Jolene enjoys writing, sharing and connecting with other like-minded women online – it also gives her the perfect excuse to ignore Mount-Washmore until it threatens to bury her family in an avalanche of Skylander T-shirts and Frozen Pyjama pants. (No one ever knows where the matching top is!) Likes: Reading, cooking, sketching, dancing (preferably with a Sav Blanc in one hand), social media, and sitting down on a toilet seat that one of her children hasn’t dripped, splashed or sprayed on. Dislikes: Writing pretentious crap about herself in online bio’s and refereeing arguments amongst her offspring.
