While most said theyβll be rushing to Coles immediately to buy some others weren’t convinced. βHate this and any other variation of chicken nuggets like chicken fries. They keep changing the shape like thatβll make us want it,β was just one comment against the donuts.
Coles senior category manager for poultry Daniel Slavin said the product was designed with kids in mind.Β βThey were developed to help provide a family-focused meal solution for even the fussiest of little eaters,β he said.
βThe hollow circle format is a familiar concept for customers (calamari, doughnuts) and provides more of a crunch when eating which has clearly appealed to customers.Β Colesβ Own Brand meat development teamΒ worked closely with our development chefs to create a new range of easy meal solutions that would appeal to families and support parents with making meal time fun for kids while providing a great quality meal.β
