RITZ Crackers Reveal The Real Reason Behind The Scalloped Edge On Their Biscuits!

RITZ Crackers Reveal The Real Reason Behind The Scalloped Edge On Their Biscuits!

No party is complete without a platter of Ritz crackers and cheese, but did you know the real reason behind the biscuit’s scalloped edges? No, it’s not to look pretty. The reason is much more practical than that!

The company recently offered an explanation to biscuit fans everywhere when they shared a TikTok video explaining the reason behind the Ritz cracker’s distinctive shape.

Surprising fans worldwide, the video has been viewed over 2 million times and explains that the ridges are there to be used as a knife to slice cheese.

“What people think the edges on Ritz crackers are for,” reads the caption at the start of the video.

However, the real reason is soon revealed after the video shows a hand rolling the cracker across a slice of Swiss cheese. The aim is to loosen the cheese so it can be easily torn and placed on the cracker.

MIND BLOWN!

Who knew this? And if you did, why in God’s name have you kept this vital information to yourself?

Fans were just as shocked and took to the comments section to voice their surprise.

“Ritz you are making me question my entire existence,” one person said.

“This is the best news ever!”

“What an invention! I’m shook!”

“Ritz, I’m no advertisement specialist, but this post hurt my feelings, and I’m sure it had the same impact on others,” said another. “It might be good to delete this.”

Those with a keen eye however said that the cheese wasn’t actually ‘cut.’

Ritz responded, “It loosened it tho.”

“Facts bestie,” wrote the brand.

As cool as this piece of info is, the company did admit that the explanation was “made up,” and wasn’t necessarily the original reason for the crackers’ shape.

“But we’re Ritz, we’re allowed to decide this,” wrote the company.

Hahaha! Well played Ritz!
