Six Year Old Left Heartbroken After No-One Turned Up To His Pizza Party!

Six Year Old Left Heartbroken After No-One Turned Up To His Pizza Party!

A heartbreaking photo has been shared online of six year old Teddy from Arizona sitting amongst empty chairs and empty plates during his recent birthday party. You see, NONE of the 32 classmates he invited turned up to celebrate his special day!

Teddy’s mum invited all his classmates to Peter Piper’s Pizza and not one of them bothered to turn up. In fact the mum spoke to some of the parents earlier in the day who assured her their kids would be attending.

The mother spoke to a local radio station saying “I’m done with parties for a while,” saying she even went to the effort of making up 32 bags of goodies for Teddy’s friends!

The image went viral after being shared by Tucson reporter Nick Vincent who posted it along with the following message:

If you get a chance please wish Teddy a Happy Birthday. His mom sent me this after his friends weren’t able to make it to his birthday party.

Luckily, many well wishes have poured in for little Teddy from far and wide, with many people offering words of support and even presents for the young boy.

Teddy was even given a gift of a free ride in a ‘mouse limo’ from a local exterminator while others offered hugs and kind words.

“Once you realise happiness is from the inside stuff like this won’t hurt so bad. Wish I’d known I’d have made the drive to see you. Happy birthday lil fella.”

Another said:

“Happy Birthday Teddy! People are flaky and inconsiderate sometimes. It happens, that doesn’t mean you aren’t great, just that people are silly. Best wishes kiddo!”

Local basketball team the Phoenix Suns offered Teddy free tickets to their game against the Los Angeles Lakers, tweeting:

“How about we celebrate with thousands at our place! Tickets to Wednesday’s #SunsVSLakers game are all yours Teddy! Talk soon!”

A soccer club called the Phoenix Rising also invited Teddy to “join 7,000 of his closest friends” at an upcoming playoff game, with the tweet:

“Teddy can get The Mala from @VeneziasPizza and join 7,000 of his closest friends this Friday. Come on out Teddy! #UpRising”

Teddy has responded to all the well wishes and messages of support saying: “Thank you all for the birthday wishes.”

We’re so happy to hear Teddy received so much and love and support following the heartbreaking photo but we still can’t believe not one single child attended his party! Such poor form!

  1. Did the Mum put a RSVP on the invitations she issued? If not, that may be the reason she didn’t know the party was being attended.
Never assume that parents check their facebook regularly. Not all do.
