Wedding Guest Helps Herself to a Slice of the Top Tier of the Wedding Cake

Wedding Guest Helps Herself to a Slice of the Top Tier of the Wedding Cake

It is understandable that many people might not be up to date on their wedding etiquette skills, but helping yourself to a piece of the wedding cake by grabbing a knife and cutting a slice is obviously a major faux pas. Especially when it is clearly the top tier complete with little bride and groom figurines perched proudly in the centre.

But somehow a wedding guest managed to grow into a whole adult human without getting this memo, which resulted in an embarrassing moment which she then compounded by posting the whole thing to TikTok where it has now been viewed nearly two million times.

Honestly, if I had done that the CIA couldn’t get a video like this out of me without some serious torture and she’s here owning it and displaying it for all to see. Yay for her, I guess!

Happily bopping away to some bangin’ tunes, the woman, who is living her best life and appears to have arrived dressed as Minnie Mouse, is seen unashamedly helping herself to a lil extra desert despite a brownie station set up nearby.

“Me! A guest at my friend’s wedding!” the text reads on her viral vid.

“Ignoring the brownie table and confidently cutting myself a slice of HER WEDDING CAKE thinking ‘uh-oh they forgot to serve it to everyone else’!”

Smaller text below reads: “I know better now. I hate myself!”

Now, even though the rest of the cake might very well have been sliced up for guests to enjoy along with the incredible-sounding brownie table, it is traditional for the top tier of the cake to be preserved for the couple’s first wedding anniversary as a sign of good luck.

There is no word on what sort of luck this couple can expect now that it has been hacked into by TikTok user “Mediocre Hailey”.

All’s well that ends well though, as the bride has “formally forgiven” her guest:

The only question that remains is why the person filming didn’t bother to stop her. Guess we’ll never know.
