Woman Is Shocked To Discover Her Twins Have Different Fathers!
A woman who had an affair while married to her husband just got caught out in the most unbelievable way!
The Chinese woman from Xiamen City, gave birth to twins with two different fathers. Chinese news sites have been reporting on the unbelievable story which was bought to light by Ms Zhang, the director of the Fujian Zhengtai Forensic Identification Centre, a government agency which runs paternity tests for babies.
Husband and father of one of the twins, Xialong, says he noticed that one of his twin boys resembled him a lot while the other looked nothing like him. Because of this he requested a DNA test to rule out any chance the twins weren’t both his.
Incredibly, the test proved that he was in fact the father of one child but not the other. Which could only mean one thing. His wife had indeed slept with another man around the same time she slept with her husband. Which resulted in the conception of both babies- at the same time!
Xiaolong was furious after reading the DNA report and confronted his wife who then admitted that she had slept with another guy and that it was a one-night stand. The father said he was happy to raise his own child, but not the one from someone else.
This rare occurrence is known as heteropaternal *superfecundation and can happen either if a woman has sex with two separate partners in an extremely short timespan, or if a woman releases two eggs a few days apart in the same reproductive cycle, and then has sex with different partners. Either way, a person is more likely to win the lottery than having twins born to different fathers!
*(Superfecundation is the fertilization of two or more ova from the same cycle by sperm from separate acts of sexual intercourse, which can lead to twin babies from two separate biological fathers. The term superfecundation is derived from fecund, meaning the ability to produce offspring.)
