Wilding Foods – The Ready-Made Meal Company That’s Delivering All the Goodness with None of the Nasties

If you love the idea of having fresh meals delivered to your door but are underwhelmed with the taste and nutritional value of the ready-made-meal brands you’ve tried to date, let us introduce you to Wilding Foods. Having launched in 2022, Wilding Foods is still relatively new but is making its mark on the ready-made meal market with its commitment to using quality ingredients, and eco-friendly practices. Whilst Wilding Foods certainly isn’t the cheapest brand on the block, neither do they intend to be, with their goal to be a cut above the rest. A cheaper price point would mean sacrificing both the quality of the ingredients they use and the environmental impact – both of which are central to the founders Angelo, Danielle and Alfie Mercuri’s vision for their brand.

Alfie Mercuri, a third-generation restauranteur, identified a gap in the market for convenient, pre-prepared food that’s created using only organic sustainably sourced produce.

“Wilding Foods was created to bridge the gap between small scale farmers and consumers, and more importantly, for people to be able to easily and conveniently eat real food,” Alfie explains.

“It’s a light bulb moment for people when they try beautiful produce from a local farm, and it just tastes better than the mass-produced options that are readily available. We believe it’s our obligation to do better for our planet and our health.”

The nutritionally dense meals, which are made from sustainably sourced ingredients, are made with love by a team of chefs and nutritionists who believe in an eco-friendly, whole food approach. Sourcing ingredients from local farms means that Wilding Foods offer a menu that changes to reflect the availability of seasonal produce, so customers enjoy only the freshest ingredients. Customers also have the peace of mind knowing that all meals are made using gluten free ingredients, and contain no GMO’s, no artificial sweeteners, no preservatives, no hydrogenated fats, no refined sugars or carbs, and no seed oils.

The Perfect Ready-Meals for Postpartum Mums

If there ever is a time when you appreciate not having to cook it’s when you return home tired and sore with your new baby. During this major transitional period, women’s bodies undergo significant physical and hormonal changes as they recover from childbirth and adjust to the demands of breastfeeding and caring for a new baby. Whilst this can often leave them too exhausted from lack of sleep during the early weeks and months to spend much time preparing food, their diet at this time can play a significant role in their recovery. Nutrient-rich foods can not only help speed up the healing process, but they can also boost energy levels and emotional wellbeing – all of which are incredibly important during this time.

Wilding Foods organic ready-meals offers new mothers a great way to take care of themselves, so that they can in turn, take care of their new bub. So, if you are soon to welcome your baby into the world, consider making Wilding Foods deliveries part of your after-birth plan for the first few postpartum weeks, whilst you recover and adjust to your new life as a mum.

If you know a new or expectant mum and you want to get them something special to mark the arrival of their little one, a week or two of delicious, tasty meals is one of the most thoughtful gifts you can give. Not only does it lighten the new mums load, but it will also allow her to spend less time in the kitchen and more time bonding with her child, and that’s priceless! Gift vouchers are available here.

Making Nutritious Meals More Accessible for Everyone

For time-poor consumers wanting to make better food choices both for the sake of the planet and for their own health, Wilding Foods is the stand out choice. Believing that everyone should have access to real food, the Mercuri family have made their meal delivery service more affordable for HCP and NDIS participants, who can use their funding to pay for 70% of their meals. This makes real, nutritious meals more accessible for people who may not be able to shop for and prepare it for themselves.

What Our Readers Are Saying About Wilding Foods

“I really enjoyed the meals. The meal choices on offer are great and taste just like home cooked meals. They are vibrant in flavour, delicious and tasty.

The ingredients listed are all natural and there’s nothing listed that’s weird, artificial or unrecognisable.

I like how they don’t fill you up on unnecessary carbs such as pasta, rice, or potatoes, and don’t limit the good stuff such as protein, which is the case with many other convenient microwaveable meals.

Quality ingredients, cooked with love, fresh, wholesome, organic, convenient and ready to heat and eat! What’s not to love?” (Linda L, Emu Plains, NSW)

“My partner has celiac disease so our household needs gluten free foods in order to be at our best health. Meal prepping with this in mind is difficult, and we know lots of people struggle with similar gluten related reactions so having a delivery service that accommodates is important.

It is very difficult to find food options that don’t include nasty chemicals, especially in a convenient form such as a delivery service. Wilding Foods helps us continue to make healthier eating choices without the stress of shopping at various stores to get full access to organic produce.

As a disability support worker, I would absolutely recommend this service. A lot of participants that I work with struggle to source, prepare and manage their meals so instead of making good dietary choices they opt for unhealthy premade foods from the supermarket. Wilding Foods provides the easy access they need but with far better nutritional value.” (Janaya M, Pakenham, Victoria)

Wilding Foods meal delivery service is available in Victoria and New South Wales. You can check if they deliver to your area here.
