What kind of gift buyer are you? The last-minute-grab-a-gift-card-and-that’ll-do kind, or it-has-to-be-something-special-that-I-know-they’ll-love kind?

I admit, (unless I have left things to the very last minute) I take pride in the gifts I give. I like them to be a good fit for the recipient, to show that I have put thought into picking something that I know they will love. I like to see their face light up when they open it.

Call me fussy, but I also like it to be something a little bit different, and not something they will see next week in the local shopping centre. Having said that though, I am notoriously time poor, so traipsing from store to store looking for something just isn’t going to happen. Likewise, trawling internet site after internet site is not my idea of fun either, so when I come across one that ticks all the boxes for me I save it to my favourites.

A Little Something Different

If you are shopping for unusual and unique gifts for kids, in my opinion, you can’t go passed A Little Something Different. The website is super-easy to navigate, and there are a range of gifts to suit a range of ages, and without breaking the bank!

Here are just some of my top picks.

Jolene enjoys writing, sharing and connecting with other like-minded women online – it also gives her the perfect excuse to ignore Mount-Washmore until it threatens to bury her family in an avalanche of Skylander T-shirts and Frozen Pyjama pants. (No one ever knows where the matching top is!) Likes: Reading, cooking, sketching, dancing (preferably with a Sav Blanc in one hand), social media, and sitting down on a toilet seat that one of her children hasn’t dripped, splashed or sprayed on. Dislikes: Writing pretentious crap about herself in online bio’s and refereeing arguments amongst her offspring.
