If you’ve ever found yourself staring at a supermarket shelf wondering which products are actually worth trying, this one’s for you. The 2026 Product of the Year Awards is back, and Aussie shoppers have voted for the products they genuinely love and count on to make everyday life that little bit easier.

Now in it’s 17^th year, the world’s biggest consumer-voted awards program has once again revealed the products families are raving about. More than 5,000 Australians cast their vote, and there’s a clear message; health, wellness and smart value are what we’re all shopping for.

Health and Wellness Are on Every Parent’s Radar

The latest research from NielsenIQ found that 74% of Australians have a personal health goal, and that’s showing uo in our shopping baskets. Parents are looking for products that help with energy, fitness, sleep, stress relief and gut health.

This year’s winners include some great family-friendly picks like Ultralife Adult Hair Skin & Nails Gummies, Ultralife Ashwaganda Tablets, and Macros Chia Sesame Snaps.

It’s no surprise that TikTok and Instagram are driving what we buy. Almost one in five shoppers say influencer recommendation have swayed their choices. But when it comes to real trust, that little red Product of the Year logo still means the most. In fact, one in four shoppers say it helps them buy with confidence.

“Shoppers can feel overwhelming when you’re faced with hundreds of options in every aisle,” Sarah Connelly, Product of the Year Director. “It’s important to have smart shortcuts.”

Home Brands Are Winning Big

It turns out, we’re loving supermarket brands just as much as the big name brands. Of the 40 winners this year 27 came from Coles and Woolworths.

And if you’re trying to be a bit greener, you’ll love that here in four consumers now care about sustainability. This year’s eco-heroes include Cocobella Coconut water Coffee for its recyclable packaging, Koala Suffolk Sofa for its B Corp certification and Bespoke Homestyle Potato Chips made from sustainably sourced spuds.
