Christian Cowen’s Teletubbies Boots are So Ridiculous You’ll Love Them

Are these the most ridiculous boots you’ve ever seen? Yes! But are they also the most fun shoes you’ll ever own? Also yes! Be honest, on a scale of 1-10 how much do you secretly love these?

The bright green, knee-high boots by fashion designer Christian Cowen have been all over social media recently and it’s not hard to see why! This is the British designer’s first attempt at incorporating ‘90s childhood icons onto footwear and we’re hoping it won’t be his last.

If you like the idea of wearing these zany Dipsy boots to your next work meeting or school pick up then you better hurry. The designer’s site has crashed with consumers rushing to purchase a pair for the modest sum of $2,500. At that price, you’d best be keeping them well away from the kidlets during fancy dress day at school.

Writing on Instagram about his decision to honour the Teletubbies Cowan wrote:

”The collab you didn’t know you needed… Telletubbies x Christian Cowan has dropped. When deciding what our next collaboration would be, we were throwing around lots of pop culture icons, and then it struck us, let’s do THE icons. We treated Dipsy, Laa-Laa, Po & Tinkey-Winkey like the legends they are, shot in an Avedon-esque style, these garments tell the story of our four legendary characters, who have come to step on everyone’s necks and have autographed these pieces for their adoring fans.”
