A Bride Has Made a Life Size Wedding Cake of Herself and Her Groom
Everyone wants to have a memorable cake for their wedding, something that will look good in photos and be a talking point at the reception. This couple not only achieved that, they hit the ball right out of the park!
Award winning cake maker, Lara Mason (who also recently made a life size cake of Prince George) whipped up a life size cake of herself and her husband.
The 29-year-old’s cake creation is amazing…
The couple, who had their wedding last month in Malta have been together for nine years after meeting at university. The reception was held at the local football club and had over 200 guests in attendance. The cake itself had 20kg of icing and consisted of 20kg of chocolate cake!
“We both like a laugh and thought it would be great to create a cake which would give our guests a good laugh,” Mason told a local reporter.
Mason admitted that they didn’t even eat the 40 kg cake on the night. It seems everyone was too busy taking photos of the masterpiece and Instagramming it! The generous bride and groom left the cake at the club so the players could enjoy it.
“It took me around 20 hours to create where usually I would spend about 150 hours on a cake of that size so it was a little rushed,” she said.
Wow! Now that takes the culinary cake for sure!
