This Hilarious Twitter Thread Proves That All Families Are a Bit Weird In Some Way

Is there something that your family does that strikes you a little weird now that you think about it?

Something that you’ve since realised that only your family did, no one else, but at the time you thought it was commonplace?

Every family has habits that they didn’t realise were a bit strange. It’s only when the children become adults that they figure out that nobody else has a communal tomato sauce dish in the centre of the table to dip your chips into. That was just that odd thing their family did! (Also, gross!)

My family kept stuff in the oven – nearly every baking pan plus all the snacks like chips and crackers and the bread. We had to unload it all onto the clothes washer to use the oven. We accidentally melted stuff on occasion. Miraculously no fires.

We kept our phones (landline) in drawers. My mom didn’t like that they ruined her aesthetic. I didn’t realize it was weird until one of her friends asked me where the phone was & I pulled open a drawer and she looked at me like… like I had pulled out a drawer with a phone in it
