Since moving from country Victoria to the Gold Coast in 2019, and having traded in my giant walk-in-wardrobe for a built-in-wardrobe a fraction of the size, it’s fair to say that I’m far more selective about the clothing I add to my limited space. If it hasn’t seen the light of day in the last 18 months, I’m sorry, but it’s gone! Off to the op-shop with you! There just isn’t enough room for long-forgotten, and seldom-worn garments to be taking up value real estate in my sad-excuse for a wardrobe.

I am obsessed with the London Maxi dress! It features a flattering v-neckline, shirred elasticated waistband, and super-cute capped sleeves with crochet detailing. The hemline is shorter at the front, and longer at the back, which I love. Being just 163cm in height, some maxi dresses can be..well..too maxi for my little legs! This dress is perfect – a ruffled short hem at the front to show off your fabulous footwear, and a longer, but not too long hem at the back. Even on me, it’s isn’t trailing on the floor behind getting all tatty.
The length and capped sleeves make it a great choice on summer days when you want to cover up and protect your skin, but it’s versatility also makes it perfect paired with a cardigan in spring or autumn, or jacket and boots for winter.
