Peppermint Slice Recipe

Peppermint Slice

Peppermint Slice

Recipes really don’t come much easier (or delicious) than this. With just four simple ingredients you can create this amazing NO BAKE slice – and I do mean AMAZING!

It’s good enough to enjoy with no icing or just a sprinkle of coconut, however for a truly decadent treat why not cover it with a layer of creamy white chocolate.

I can hear you asking what to do with the remaining 1/2 tin of condensed milk, that’s the beauty of this versatile recipe , you can make another slice with a different flavoured chocolate – Caramello, Crunchie, Top Deck… the possibilities are endless!

You will need:

100g (3.5 oz) butter
1/2 tin (185 gm / 6.5 oz)  of condensed milk
200g (7 oz)  block of Peppermint Chocolate
1 pack of Marie / 5 oz Maria (or similar) biscuits
150g / 5 oz of white chocolate melts

Peppermint Slice

Let’s put it together

Line a slice tin with enough baking paper so there is some hanging over the sides – this helps you to remove the slice from the tin.
In a large bowl, crush the biscuits with the end of a rolling pin or wooden spoon until they resemble fine crumbs.

Peppermint Slice

Place the chocolate and butter together in a small bowl. Melt in the microwave, cooking for 30 second spurts on a medium/high heat and mix in between.
Add the melted ingredients and the condensed milk to the crushed biscuits. Use a large metal spoon to combine.

Peppermint Slice

Pour the mixture into the slice tin and use the back of a metal spoon to press it down into the tray to create a flat surface – don’t worry, it will be sticky! You may find it helpful to use two spoons to spread and press it into the tin.

Peppermint Slice

Melt the white chocolate in the microwave and pour across the top of the slice.
Pop the slice into the fridge to firm for approximately one hour, remove and cut into small slices.

Enjoy!
