peaches geldof

25-year-old Peaches Geldof has been found dead in her home in Kent, England.

At this stage, the death is being treated as unexplained and sudden.

Peaches, known in her younger years as a party-girl socialite, has in more recently years proved herself as a talented fashion writer, television presenter and a model.

Just hours before her death, Peaches posted a photograph of her and mother Paula Yates on her Instagram account.  Yates tragically died in 2000 of an apparent heroin overdose when her daughter was just 11 years old.

Peaches revealed in recent years that she had struggled with the grief of losing her mother, and due to the shock, had not cried at the funeral, and didn’t feel as though she began to face the grief until she was 16.

Sadly, Peaches leaves behind musician husband Tommy Cohen, and their two sons young Astala Dylan Willow (20 months old) and Phaedra Bloom Forever (10 months old).

Ironically, in an image that now mirrors her looking at photographs of her dead mother, Peaches posted an image just hours before her mysterious death, of her youngest son Phaedra holding a photograph of her with the caption “Phaedy’s fave thing is to look at old photos of mama, seriously!  So cute x’

Father Bob Geldof shocked by the death of his daughter has said that his family is ‘beyond pain.’

“She was the wildest, funniest, cleverest, wittiest, and the most bonkers of all of us…What a beautiful child.  How is this possible that we will never see her again? How is that bearable?” said Geldof.

Husband Cohen said in a statement “My beloved wife Peaches was adored by myself and her two sons Astala and Phaedra, and I shall bring them up with their mother in their hearts every day.  We shall love her forever.”
