A Woman Enjoying Some Social Distancing Drinks At A Retirement Village Has Accidentally Channeled Kath Day-Knight And We Can’t Look Away!

In this new era of social distancing everyone is looking for ways to stay in touch and not go completely bonkers being indoors  all day.  Just like this retirement village who set up drinks in the drive way for it’s residents as a way to keep them socialising. What they weren’t expecting was a ‘life imitating art’ moment when one of the residents unwittingly and perfectly channeled Aussie icon Kath Day-Knight from Kath & Kim.

The Forsyth Gardens retirement village held “a street party with a difference” to help keep the community spirit alive amongst the ongoing coronavirus self-isolation requirements.

One of the local residents, Susan Moss, filmed the gorgeous street party which showed everyone being socially responsible while having a good time.

“We are just a bunch of oldies, enjoying each other’s company with social distance,” she said to Australia All Over. “We all took our own drinks and nibbles and enjoyed the music played on Trish’s old record player. Very relaxing.”

The video has had over 800 shares and 675,000 views in a matter of days. And while the street party itself is beautiful to watch, it’s actually one of the residents who people are obsessed with. This one woman in particular managed to perfectly mirror that iconic Kath and Kim scene where Kath is sitting on a plastic lawn chair in a pink top and sunnies enjoying a smoko.

Seriously with the hair, the glasses and the leg pose…this woman is a dead ringer for Kath Day-Knight. We just wonder if she’s aware of her icon status on social media yet?
