Aussie Pub Leaves Patrons Mortified By Serving Pie In A Beer Glass!

We’ve heard of restaurants trying to be creative with their food presentation, but is this going too far? One Aussie pub has been slammed for serving a pie in a Guinness glass. And yes, it looks as disgusting as it sounds!

The New Sydney Hotel has gone viral after a patron posted a picture of their $26 pie inside a Guinness pint glass. It was first shared on Reddit and has since gone crazy on a Twitter account which highlights terrible Guinness pints poured in London.

It’s fair to say people were mortified when they came across the image of the pie stuffed Guinness glass on social media.

One person said: “The only shepherds pie you have to consume using a soil sampler.”

While another added: “Jesus, Mary and Joseph the carpenter, I thought the worst thing I’d ever seen was Chilli con carne made with baked beans. How wrong I was..”

A third said: “This has actually upset me.”

We can see why! One person even joked they were going to report the pub for the “offensive” nature of the photo.

Social media users also pointed out ‘disturbing’ the meal in the background looked. With one person commenting that it looked like ‘teeny, tiny hands on a plate!’

It’s not! Apparently it’s the pub’s Squid and Chorizo dish that is served with tomato braised chickpeas, kale, fennel and gremolata. But the squid sitting on the edge of the plate is freaking everyone out.

The pub’s website says ‘we have always done things a little differently…’ and ain’t that the truth!
