A Boy Loses His Favourite Toy And The Internet Responds In The Most Beautiful Way

When your child loses their favourite toy it can feel like the end of the world for both them and you. I remember taking my twins out for a walk in the pram one night only to come home realising one of their soft toys didn’t make it home with us! This wasn’t just any old soft toy, but the one they slept with, it was a flat blue teddy and I needed to find it ASAP.  So I did what any desperate parent would do – I ran back and retraced my steps in the hope of finding lost boo-boo. I never did, so a replacement was found and all was fine, eventually.

These days though when a toy goes missing, the internet is there to lend a helping hand. A little boy recently lost his favourite elephant soft toy so his parents did what any great parent would do. They lied. They told him his teddy was just on vacation.

The lost elephant!

A friend of the parents put a picture of the toy elephant on a photoshop battle forum with the back story. Then thanks to the kindness of internet strangers, these “postcards” are now being sent to the boy while the parents frantically search for a replacement! How awesome is that!
