Breaking News: Australia Has a New Prime Minister
Australia has a new Prime Minister tonight.
Malcolm Turnbull has won a ballot as he opened up the challenge for leadership of the Liberal Party earlier today.
Votes have been counted with Turnbull receiving 54 and Tony Abbot only received 44. Julia Bishop has been voted in as Deputy Leader with 70 votes.
Malcolm Turnbull will be sworn in as Prime Minister later tonight.
