Breastfeeding Mum Hits Back At Women Who Shamed Her At Disneyland!
Anyone who’s been to Disneyland, or any theme park for that matter, knows that half your time is spent standing in queues! It’s annoying and a complete time waster but unfortunately it’s just part of the ‘experience.’
The frustration is magnified tenfold when you have young children that complain every second about how hot it is, how cold it is or how hungry they are! It’s enough to drive any sane person over the edge!
Two women found themselves feeling that exact frustration when they witnessed the unthinkable…a young mum breastfeeding her child while waiting in line for a ride.
Mum of two, Brittni Medina was at Disneyland recently with her 10 month old son and husband when they found themselves stuck in a queue for an exceptionally long time. To make matters worse, their son needed a feed so rather than leave and lose their spot Medina decided to openly nurse the boy.
That’s when she noticed the women making rude comments behind her. ‘These women were making snarky comments so I moved from my spot to catch a picture with these characters. Not for attention for me but attention to the fact NO WOMEN SHOULD BE SHAMED FOR FEEDING THEIR BABY UNCOVERED,’ Medina wrote in her Facebook post.
She went on to explain that she is very comfortable feeding her child anywhere and was quite amused by the way the two women carried on behind her.
‘These ladies were so angry by it my husband just had to take a picture. Peep the haters,’ she wrote. ‘Characters of the day. Just had to get a picture!’
The photo is the ultimate comeback as Medina looks cool and comfortable breastfeeding while the judgemental women look bitter as they stand behind her with their arms crossed in disgust!
‘I actually stepped a little over to get them in the picture because they were talking loudly saying how I should go to the restroom to feed,’ she said. ‘I was happy my husband could capture me and my son happily feeding and I thought the looks on their faces were priceless. I mean, how could they be so mad?’
While some may question why she didn’t just use a cover over her son Medina says that hasn’t stopped the judgmental looks in the past.
‘I covered with my first son, but honestly people will complain no matter what you do!’ she said.

Babies get hot and upset if covered in warm weather for too long too.
Would they rather listen to a distressed screaming hungry baby? I certainly wouldn’t. The Mum would never get near the front of the line if she left every time her baby cried for a feed or nappy change.
