Serena Williams Reveals She’s 20 Weeks Pregnant!
Tennis superstar Serena Williams has just confirmed she’s pregnant with her first child after sharing a pic of herself on Snapchat with the words “20 weeks.”
The news is super exciting in itself but combine that with the fact she won the Australian Open in January this year to truly appreciate the magnitude of the announcement!
Yes! The 23-time grand slam singles champion was in fact pregnant when she won her title at the Australian Open this year where she beat her sister Venus in the final.
Just let that sink in for a moment. I’ll wait.
Now before you start attacking me saying “lots of women work while they’re pregnant” I can pretty much guarantee they’re not running around a tennis court in 40 degree heat trying to hit a ball. True? I mean let’s be honest here, I know when I was pregnant I could barely muster a fast paced walk let alone a run! And yes, I’m well aware of the fact Williams is in top physical condition but credit where credit’s due- that is one amazing effort!
May I also just remind you that she did not drop ONE SINGLE SET during the Australian Open either.
