So It Turns out We’ve All Been Closing Our Cereal Boxes the Wrong Way This Whole Time!

So It Turns out We’ve All Been Closing Our Cereal Boxes the Wrong Way This Whole Time!

A woman in the UK has shared her super simple hack to neatly close any kind of cardboard packaging like cereal boxes with one of those “lift to open” tabs, blowing people’s minds all over the world.

And just as an aside, am I the only person who experiences a brief moment of anarchy and deliberately opens the opposite side where it says “open other end”? Nope? Okay then. Back to the story.

TikTok user KatyBee2020 shared a genius folding method to reseal the box which has seen her video rack up nearly one million views from others who can’t believe they’ve never been told before.

Katy filmed herself folding her cereal box in an innovative way that most of us would never have thought to do. She folded the larger flaps down into the box and then creased the top of the sides, folding them inwards creating a neat curved top once sealed with the close tab.

Behold the sheer magic that is our new way to close our boxes of BBQ Shapes forevermore:

Brilliant. Absolutely outstanding, and just the sort of content we need during these uncertain times.

In a follow-up video, Katy showed us once again how to do the awesome trick using a different box of cereal while responding to people who suggested it was a waste of time.

“People saying ‘Oh, aint nobody got time for that’, it doesn’t take long,” she said in the footage.

“And let’s be honest, guys: all we have is time at the moment!”

Bloody amazing!
