Teenage Girl Is Called Ungrateful Online After Receiving a Gift From Her Mother!
Being a teenager is tough especially if you’re a girl. I should know. I was one. There are hormones raging through your body, mean girls you have to watch out for and mothers who insist on buying you presents for your birthday. Ughhh! So annoying!
Take Jenna Fluegeman for example. Her mum decided to surprise her on her 17th birthday with a new snapchat filter. The teenager clearly wasn’t feeling the gift and decided to share the text message exchange between her and her mum on her birthday.

The mother explained in the text that she bought a Snapchat filter so Jenna and her friends could alter their photographs. It was set up around the teen’s high school where anyone could use it. The special filter puts a stamp at the bottom of pictures reading: “Jenna’s 17th Birthday. 03.30.17”. How cute, right?!
Wrong. Jenna was not impressed and sent her mum a text saying- “Why would you do that?”
Her mother asked if she was mad, but then got annoyed at her teen daughter. “Sheesh, thought you would like it. I guess I just can’t do anything right. Whatever,” she replied.
After posting the exchange online people responded by calling her selfish and ungrateful and criticised her bad attitude.
“Be happy she’s doing anything at all,” @NasMaraj replied to the tweet.
Jenna eventually responded to the messages calling her ungrateful by posting a photo with the gifted filter on it and a message saying she really can’t please everyone.
“For anyone who’s wondering I obviously thanked my mom for it and it was very thoughtful, but I didn’t want that attention from my whole school,” she wrote.
So far, the original post received more than 6,000 re-tweets and 1,500 responses.
What do you think? Did Jenna’s response to her mum’s gift sound a little ungrateful to you or not?
