The ‘Matilda Challenge’ Is the Best Challenge Sweeping the Internet Right Now

If there’s one thing the Internet loves, it’s a viral challenge. We’ve had loads of them, starting with the cinnamon challenge, the ALS ice bucket challenge, the tide pod challenge and the kiki challenge, which looks to be the most stupid of them all.

But now a new challenge is going viral and it’s just brilliant. The Matilda Challenge combines a love of classic movies, teamwork, catchy music and lots of dancing. Based on a scene from the 1996 movie Matilda, the challenge involves recreating the scene where the little girl uses her own brand of magic to make objects in the room dance one by one, culminating in a fantastically wonderful dance-off.

The Matilda Challenge has inspired others to copy this iconic scene with a little magic of their own.

Even Mara Wilson, the child star of the movie Matilda has gotten into this new challenge in a big way, sharing her favourites with her Twitter followers.
