Wedding Guest Labelled Tacky For Trying To Upstage Bride By Wearing White Bridal Dress
A photo of a woman dressed in what appears to be a bridal dress has emerged online and people are not happy. Theyโre calling the wedding guest tacky for trying to upstage the bride by wearing the ivory-coloured gown. Would you be annoyed if you were the bride?
The photo appeared on Reddit alongside the caption: โShe was not the bride.โ

Commenters were quick to add that although she had broken the cardinal rule of โno white at weddingsโ the issue was more to do with the style of the dress than the colour.
โHonestly itโs not just the colour, itโs the entire style. If someone wore a plain white cocktail dress that might be a mild faux pas but not worthy of ridicule. This is just straight up a wedding dress, no one wears a dress like that except a bride and thatโs what makes it truly cringe,โ one said.
โI have witnessed this when the mother-in-law showed up two hours prior, all the bridesmaids were asking the bride if they could spill wine on her and an hour later it happened it was glorious,โ another added.
โForget being clumsy, I wouldโve walked straight over to her and thrown two glasses of red wine right over the dress,โ one said.
Another commented: โEvery person at that wedding would have talked or laughed about her either behind her back or to her face. I personally would have burst out laughing and straight up asked why she wore a wedding dress to someone elseโs wedding.โ
โAnd thatโs the day Aunt Karen was hit with a tsunami of red wine in a tragic trip-and-fall by the maid of honour,โ joked one person.
Another wrote: โHopefully the bride was a knockout and everyone noticed how bad this lady looked in comparison.โ
โSheโs only missing the veil,โ said one person.
Another added: โMy grandmother wore a whiter than white dress to my parentsโ wedding. She didnโt like my mum lol.โ
I mean seriously, it definitely looks like this guest has just re-worn her own wedding dress. Which isnโt such a bad thing if she had perhaps dyed it another colour, donโt you think?
