Woman Left Outraged When Her Boyfriend Refused to Switch Meals With Her After Deciding She Doesn’t Like What She’s Ordered

Woman Left Outraged When Her Boyfriend Refused to Switch Meals With Her After Deciding She Doesn’t Like What She’s Ordered

We’ve all been there. We’ve gone out to a nice restaurant and instead of ordering our tried and true favourite chicken schnitzel with chips and salad and mushroom sauce on the side, we’ve had a moment of spontaneity and opted for something off the specials board that sounds new and exciting. Only for it to turn up looking less than expected and have us wishing we’d just gone for the schnitty like always.

So what do we do? We just suck it up and eat our dinner and vow to learn our lesson in the future, right?

Not the woman in this Reddit post, oh no. She simply pressures her boyfriend to swap meals with her and eats his dinner instead.

Seeing nothing wrong with her means of always getting what she wants, the woman posted on the wildly popular board Am I The Asshole asking if what she was doing was making her, well, the asshole in this situation.

Okay, first of all, I don’t care who you are, if you wake me up at 5:30am with a phone call about some petty argument you are having with your boyfriend, you’re automatically the asshole. Don’t be doing that. Ever.

Secondly, despite her efforts to paint her requests to the contrary, she is clearly insisting that he swap meals with her. No is a complete answer and there was no reason for him to explain to her why he didn’t want to swap meals. He just didn’t want to. But that wasn’t enough for her, was it? And now it’s a big whole thing.

It’s time for this woman to grow up and start behaving like an adult. Order the food you intend to eat, own up to your own issues, and stop calling people when they are clearly sleeping.

How would you have handled this? Would you have snapped eventually, too?
