The 2026 Australian Firefighters Calendar is Raising Temps and Funds — And We’re Here for It!
They’re back — and this year’s Australian Firefighters Calendar is hotter than ever,! Now in its 33rd year, the iconic calendar has become much more than a cheeky favourite for the fridge or office wall. The 2026 edition continues a proud tradition that pairs stunning photography with a heartfelt mission: to raise funds for animal welfare, children’s health, disaster recovery and the wellbeing of Australia’s first responders.
Since its humble beginnings, the Australian Firefighters Calendar has captured attention around the world, not only for its striking images of frontline firefighters but for its genuine commitment to giving back. Over the decades, the calendar has raised millions of dollars for charitable causes that touch the lives of families, children, animals and communities across the country. The 2026 edition proudly continues that legacy, supporting a range of organisations that make an enormous difference where it’s needed most.

Among the charities benefiting this year is the Byron Bay Wildlife Hospital, which provides life-saving veterinary care and rehabilitation for injured and orphaned native animals. The hospital’s founder, Dr Stephen Van Mil, says the Australian Firefighters Calendar has been instrumental in helping them expand their services.
“In 2024 The Byron Bay Raptor Recovery Centre was opened and has been operational for about 19 months. It is a state-of-the-art facility specifically for the rehabilitation of sick, injured, and orphaned birds of prey, and it is currently full of patients. To date 100% of all birds of prey in our care have been released back into the wild. It houses the largest round Avery in the southern hemisphere. The honour of the naming rights for the recovery centre for 2025 has been given to the Australian Firefighters Calendar for their continual support to the hospital.”

The calendar also supports Wildcare Incorporated, a non-profit organisation in Darwin and Katherine that provides a lifeline for carers of sick and injured wildlife. Mignon McHendrie who was named the 2025 Northern Territory Australian of the Year, says the calendar’s generosity came at a crucial time.
“We were first approached by the calendar during a time when we were getting no government support at all, it was so difficult obtaining grants and were finding it very hard to continue with the cost of specialised food and vet fees for our native wildlife. With the support of the Australian Firefighters Calendar we have not only survived but thrived to 140 carers in the Northern Territory.”

Other recipients include South Australian Native Animal Rescue, which provides emergency care and fosters native wildlife.; the Kids with Cancer Foundation, which supports children and families undergoing treatment; CAVFA, which assists volunteer firefighters abd their families through mental health and welfare programs; Safe Haven Animal Rescue, helping abandoned pets find loving homes, and Wandering Warriors, a veteran-run organisation dedicated to supporting former members of Australia’s Special Operations Command as they transition to civilian life.
For fans and supporters, there’s even more to love this year. The 2026 Australian Firefighters calendar comes in five editions, each one celebrating courage, compassion and community spirit in its own way. The Dog Edition is sure to be a hit with animal lovers, featuring firefighters posing with rescued pops of all shapes and sizes. The Cat Edition captures charming and playful feline moments, while the Horse edition pays tribute to the human-equine bond. The Mixed Animal Edition showcases an adorable variety of koalas, farm animals and birds, and the Hero Edition shines a light on the strength and bravery of Australia’s firefighter community.

Whether you’re buying it for the photos, the cause or a bit of both, the Australian Firefighters calendar makes the perfect gift that gives back. Every purchase supports the incredible charities behind it, helping to protect wildlife, uplift families and care for those who care for us.
