Melbourne’s Christmas Wonderland is back at Caulfield Racecourse from Wednesday 25 November to Thursday 24 December 2026, and we’re giving three lucky families the chance to go along on opening night. It’s an immersive, interactive walk-through Christmas experience set up under one Grand Big Top, with twinkling lights, decorated trees, live entertainment, rides and plenty of festive characters. Each visit runs for about three hours, and it’s designed for families with children aged 10 and under.

What’s Included in the Ticket

There’s a lot packed into one session. Kids can meet Santa and take home a free DIY gift bag, say hello to the animatronic reindeer in Rudolph’s Barnyard, and write a letter to Santa at the North Pole Post Office, where the letter-writing elves are on hand if they get stuck on what to say. Every session includes a 45 minute live show with Mrs Claus and her elves, and Mrs Claus’ Bakery lets kids decorate their own Christmas shortbread. Roving characters include Marshall and Sky from PAW Patrol as well as Rudolph, and they’re all happy to stop for a selfie.

For kids who need to burn off some energy, there are three Christmas and candy themed jumping castles, plus junior rides including a Teacup Ride, a small Carousel and a Mini Train. The Elves Christmas Craft Village lets them paint their own wooden Christmas tree or snowman stand. This year there is also a brand-new PAW Patrol Christmas Playland with a selfie spot in the PAW Patrol Bus, PAW Patrol Mini Golf, a DIY craft and a draw-the-characters activity. There’s a PAW Patrol Scooter Track too, and a 20m Christmas tree trimmed with PAW Patrol plush toys where kids can guess how many there are for a chance to win.

A few extras cost more on the day, including Santa Photos, a family photo with The Grinch in Grinch Land, Carnival Games where every child wins a prize, and food and drinks.
