Chocolate Chip Pancakes Recipe

If you are looking for something sweet and delicious that doesn’t take much time to create, you can’t go past this recipe for Chocolate Chip Pancakes.

These are incredibly easy to make and are perfect for a special breakfast, morning tea or even dessert – we won’t judge!  They are perfect on their own, served with fruit (I’m thinking strawberries or bananas!) or you could be extra indulgent and drizzle them with a thick caramel sauce or even ice cream!

With Easter coming up next month, these would also make a great breakfast treat on Easter Sunday – because we all need more chocolate in our lives right?!

Chocolate Chip Pancakes

To make these Chocolate Chip Pancakes, you will need:

1/2 cup of self raising flour

1 egg

1/4 cup of milk

1/4 cup caster sugar

1/3 cup of milk chocolate chips

Butter

Let’s put it together!

Sift the flour into a medium sized bowl.

Place the egg into a mug and gently beat with a fork.

Add the egg, milk and caster sugar to the bowl with the sifted flour and whisk together until smooth.

 Add chocolate chips and gently mix through.

Chocolate Chip Pancakes

Heat a frying pan over a medium heat and add a little butter once the pan has heated.

Pour two tablespoons of the pancake mixture into the frying pan.

Chocolate Chip Pancakes

When the pancake begins to bubble, carefully flip it over and cook the other side for another minute.

Place the cooked pancakes onto a small plate and cover with foil to keep warm.

Repeat until all of the mixture has been used.
