To make your own Slow Cooker Dump Bags, all you need is a simple zip lock bag to fill with your favourite ingredients and pop it into your freezer. By having a few of these Slow Cooker Dump Bags stored in the freezer, you will have meals ready to go for those days you don’t feel like cooking. All you need to do is transfer your frozen Dump Bag to the fridge the night before you want it and then simply pour the contents into your slow cooker in the morning – too easy!
To make your very own Apricot Chicken Dump Bag, all you need is:
1 Packet of French Onion Soup Mix
1 Brown Onion diced
1 Chicken breast
1 tin of Apricot Nectar
1/2 cup of dried Apricots
1 clove of Garlic – crushed
1 teaspoon of Curry Powder.
Place all of the above ingredients into a large ziplock bag and store in your freezer until required. Then all you need to do is just transfer the Dump Bag to the fridge the night before to thaw, pour the contents into your Slow Cooker and cook for one hour on a high heat. Reduce thereat to low and cook for a further 4 hours before carefully shredding the chicken breast and putting it back into your Slow Cooker with the sauce. Once cooked, serve with steamed rice.
