How to Repurpose a $20 Drinks Holder 6 Ways (Plus Win $200 Gift Voucher)
Have you been to Cheap as Chips lately?
I usually go to the one in Berri, in the South Australian Riverland when I am looking for stuff for my parent’s garden. I am usually in a hurry and just dash in and dash out but yesterday I went in for a browse…OMG!
For a crafty person like me and one who likes to be organised I was blown away by what they had! It was like all the best garden, art and craft, and decorating shops all rolled into one and at really great prices! I can admit to you (confident that my husband won’t read this) that I filled the boot of my car…and I drive a UTE!!!!
I must say that finding the disposable liners for cake trays really made my day as I hate cutting out grease-proof paper and the printed cup-cake liners they have are so cute and perfect for filling with grapes and strawberries or popcorn for an attractive lunch box treat. I almost can’t wait till the spring fete season starts so I can show off some of the beautiful creations that are going to go in those!
I am a woman who loves a bargain and I really love to find extra uses for something, it’s really cool when someone comes into my house and asks me where I bought something and I can tell them my secret “I got it from Cheap as Chips for next to nothing and look what I made with it!”
6 Awesome Ways to Repurpose This Drinks Holder
I want to share with you over the next few weeks some of the awesome things that you can do with some of these products. To start with look at this drinks holder! I am so going back for more! Each of my children has a weekend job that they need to take care of so I am using these drinks holders to help keep all the gear that they need together to save time and make it easier for them to locate the tools they need. Annie is only 11 so her tool box has a list of the things that she needs to do that she can cross off so that she knows she has done the job. My husband is ‘King of the Grill’ and this holder can keep all of his BBQ implements together and I don’t have to leave what I am doing and collect them for him!
I think that this looks great as a planter for herbs! This is a housewarming gift for a friend who had just moved. It will look so cute on her outdoor table.
Other plans for these drinks caddies are:
- Homework station for pencils, rulers, all the stuff we need to homework to save the “I can’t do my home -work because I can’t find my…”
- Utensil holder for next to my stove
- Breakfast station – I am going to put all the jam, vegemite and spreads in it so that in the morning I can take it out and put it next to the toaster and not have to go to the fridge a million times while the kids make up their minds about what they want!
