Preparing for a Storm in Queensland

SunCorp InfoGraphic Storms v2 2copy

Storms can happen any time of the year. They can produce hailstones the size of a $2 coin, wind gusts greater than 90km/h and flash flooding. Unfortunately, they can cause damage to your community, your family and to you as an individual. In particular, South East Queensland experiences the most damaging individual storms anywhere in Australia. So for some Queenslanders, it’s not so much a matter of ‘if’ but ‘when’. The better prepared you are, the safer you will be. Suncorp Insurance and Get Ready Queensland have joined forces to provide you some information on which Queenslanders have been affected the most by storms, as well as tips on how to prepare for whatever Mother Nature might throw at you.

Jolene

Jolene enjoys writing, sharing and connecting with other like-minded women online – it also gives her the perfect excuse to ignore Mount-Washmore until it threatens to bury her family in an avalanche of Skylander T-shirts and Frozen Pyjama pants. (No one ever knows where the matching top is!) Likes: Reading, cooking, sketching, dancing (preferably with a Sav Blanc in one hand), social media, and sitting down on a toilet seat that one of her children hasn’t dripped, splashed or sprayed on. Dislikes: Writing pretentious crap about herself in online bio’s and refereeing arguments amongst her offspring.
