A Dad Has Recorded His Baby Son’s Babbling for a Year Then Created the Most Awesome Version of AC/DC’s Thunderstruck

A Dad Has Recorded His Baby Son’s Babbling for a Year Then Created the Most Awesome Version of AC/DC’s Thunderstruck

It is hard to top the classic AC/DC mega-hit Thunderstruck, but it might have been done by one adoring father of a sweet little boy.

Young Ryan, from New Jersey, has become something of a star after his dad Matt MacMillan created the awesome clip using only his babbling baby noises.

“I recorded my son making baby noises, figured out the notes he made, and arranged them into “Thunderstruck” by AC/DC,” dad Matt captioned the video. His adorably catchy clip has gone viral with over 2.3 million views since it was uploaded last week.

As soon as baby Ryan’s ‘singing’ video begins, AC/DC lead guitarist Angus Young’s iconic riff is instantly recognisable.

Turn your volume up, you’ll want to hear every second of this amazing video!

Just look at those two little toothies! We particularly enjoyed the sneezing elements of the song too. Very creative.

MacMillan had more than 80 clips to pull from, selecting first the percussive ones – sounds like thumps, coughs and the shake of a rattle. He then sorted the remaining clips by pitch.

From there, the doting dad found the corresponding note for each sound clip of Baby Ryan, as well as the notes in “Thunderstruck.” From there, it was just a matter of piecing it all together.

Matt has since released a second video with behind-the-scenes info into the song’s creation. He captioned this video simply: “it took forever”.

In the comments below the original video, people are already calling it the video of 2020. Perhaps they are jumping the gun a little bit, but hey, it’s a big call and they are standing by it!

Congrats on your inevitable record deal, Baby Ryan!
