Adele Insists Her Son Angelo Will Come First Before Her Music
Adele has revealed her son is the reason she has been away from singing for so long. She insists her music will always come second because her top priority is her son, Angelo.
Adele and her boyfriend Simon Konecki welcomed their first child, son Angelo in October 2012. Angelo was born a year and a half after Adele’s release of her record-breaking album 21.
The singer recently released her new album 25, and was interviewed on the Today show to promote her album. During the one-on-one interview with host Matt Lauer she explained why she wasn’t concerned about getting back on the ‘career treadmill.’
Adele responded, “My son comes everywhere we me, we’re good – we’re tight. He’s the first person I see in the morning and last person I see at night.
“I make time for him like I always have, that’s one of the main reasons I’ve been away for so long. My kid is more important. My kid comes first, and my music comes second – and I come second.”
Adele admitted to Zane Lowe in another interview that one of the reasons she hadn’t organized a tour was because of her son.
She knows where her priorities lie.
