Husband Hides Real Clothing Size From Wife To Make Her Feel Better!

After seeing his wife depressed about her weight gain, a loving husband took matters into his own hands to try and make her feel good about herself.

The man thought he was doing an act of kindness when he secretly changed the size tags on his wife’s clothing but the internet doesn’t seem to think so. In fact, the poor guy got roasted online and now he’s beating himself up for doing it in the first place. Writing into REDDIT, the husband said his wife thinks she’s too big and hates the fact that she can no longer fit into her old size 6.

It didn’t stop with just the one time either. You see, the husband loved the way his wife felt after thinking she had lost weight that he just continued to snip off the size tags from her clothes. (Which honestly is such a good idea anyway!)

Unfortunately his wife didn’t see it as an act of love but rather felt betrayed by her husband for lying to her in the first place. Some commenters on the forum said the man should’ve just been up front with his wife from the beginning.

“I feel for you. The correct course of action [in my opinion] would have just been to tell her directly she’s no longer those sizes and not make a fool out of her,” she said. “There might have been a good chance of meltdown but it would at least have been productive. Sorry dude good luck.”

Others said the wife was probably just pissed and embarrassed that she hadn’t in fact lost any weight! “You made her feel stupid. You made her feel ashamed. You made her think about any moment she mentioned losing weight to anyone. She feels embarrassed,” they wrote.

The majority of comments though were in support of the husband’s decision to cut off the size tags. They applauded his actions and told him there was no reason for his wife to stay angry at him.

“I wouldn’t feel too bad your heart was in the right place,” one commenter wrote. “Your wife also needs to have a reality check with her self and be fine with it or do something about it”

“Bro you are NOT a POS,” another person added. “You were trying to make your wife feel better. Great intentions. Really poor execution. Do what [another user] said and it will most likely work itself out.”

“I’m glad you understand how this could have went wrong, but I see that your heart was in the right place and it is kind of wholesome how this started by you looking out for her,” another said.

Let’s hope his wife sees the intention behind her husband’s actions and realises he did it out of love.
