Mum Accused of Photoshopping Eight Year Old Daughter’s Photos Before Sharing Them Online
When a mum recently shared her kid’s back to school photos, commenters were quick to point out that she had photoshopped her daughter’s body before sharing the image. What do you think? Has the photo been tampered with?
The photo was reshared in a Reddit group called insaneparents, where people have voiced their outrage at the photoshopping. The pic was shared with the caption: “First day of 1st, 4th and 6th grade! How?!”
Upon closer inspection of the girl in the middle one arm is wavy, which is a telltale sign the photo has been modified or stretched. A claim the mum denies.
The post has had so many negative comments that the modifiers have locked the post to avoid it continuing. “Damn… That’s creepy,” one person wrote. “Also her left arm looks too wavy and I can’t ignore it.”
“I think there may be more to this than just a mother sexualising her eight-year-old,” said another.
“That poor girl is going to suffer serious childhood trauma, and have mental and body issues as an adult,” commented another. “What does she hope to gain?”
The original poster replied, “I really have no idea. But she’s buying her daughter a one-way ticket to an eating disorder.”
