Buddy Wagon Review Plus Giveaway (RRP $229)
Life just got a whole lot easier!! We have been test driving the ‘Buddy Wagon’ and it’s been a great deal of fun for the kids and an awesome extra pair of hands and legs for me!
The ‘Buddy Wagon’ was created by two passionate Mums, who understand the need for that extra pair of hands when you are out and about with little ones only too well. Jen and Danni have done a wonderful job in creating a wagon that completely suits the life of any young family and I am very excited to have the opportunity to tell you why I love it so much…
When our Buddy Wagon arrived, I was expecting something a little chunky and heavy and that is NOT what I got! Instead I received a surprisingly slim parcel containing a rather compact, lightweight, neatly folded wagon and got rather excited about how little space it took up when it’s packed away.
The Buddy Wagon took only moments to set up…after removing the cover, spreading out the collapsible sides and placing in the foldable base the job was done and we were ready go and on our first outing with our Buddy in tow.
Our first trip took us to the beach and it didn’t take long before our new ‘Buddy’ had won the hearts of my young twins, myself and a few passers-by. We loaded the wagon with everything we needed: lunch, drinks, towels, swimmers, beach toys, my bag and more and yet we still had enough room left to fit in a child too! Mr 3 took charge immediately and began to pull the wagon along the beach path, leaving me with nothing to carry….this was the first time in recent memory where I’ve been on an outing and have not been piled high with bags hanging off my arms and so we started our trip with a detour to the café, so that I could make the most of this!
The multi-directional wheels, brakes and telescopic handle meant that even my 3 year olds found the Buddy Wagon easy to maneuver and so they thoroughly enjoyed pulling each other up and down the beach path while I enjoyed watching them, listening to their laughter and indulging in a rare ‘HOT’ lemon tea, that hadn’t been re-heated for the fifth time! After a long play in the sand it was time to head back and collect my other two little ones from school and again our new ‘Buddy’ jumped to my aid by promising to let them ride in on the school run, so no complaints were made about having to leave and we were off again.
Collapsing the Buddy Wagon was as easy as setting it up, with a simple fold I had popped it into the boot and we were ready to go again.
The Buddy Wagon is incredibly sturdy and has withstood all of the climbing in and out of it that my little ones have subjected it to. The quality of the materials means that it is perfectly suited and durable enough to suit this family’s busy lifestyle. The buddy wagon can also comfortably take up to around 70kg, which I am sure my little ones will really put to the test over the months or even years to come but I can’t see that will be any problem for our new friend “Buddy’.
Aside from all of the practicalities the Buddy Wagon looks really stylish in it’s striking red nylon oxford cloth against the black frame and wheels and was certainly drawing some attention on our days out.
The Buddy Wagon has really lived up to it’s name and has become a part of the family, assisting all of us in our every day lives. Days at the beach or pool, managing the minis Rugby team and all the ‘stuff’ that goes with it, school runs with tired little ones that will no longer go in a stroller or trips to the market and/or shops have become far more manageable for this busy Mum who rarely leaves her ‘Buddy’ behind at home… so much so that I am even planning on packing it to take on our upcoming big trip abroad!
