Roborock Qrevo Edge 2 Pro Review: Set It and Forget It Cleaning

If you were an early adopter of robot vacuums you probably remember how while the concept was great, in reality, they often fell short. Rather than setting it and forgetting it, you’d end up following behind it to make sure it didn’t terrorise your cat, ram your furniture or get itself stuck under the sofa. You’d take your eye off it for a moment and you’d hear it beeping to let you know it needed rescuing from somewhere…again!
I’m happy to say, the Roborock Qrevo Edge 2 Pro feels like the complete opposite experience. I don’t really think about vacuuming or mopping anymore because it quietly handles everything in the background without needing constant input from me. Unless a door is closed or it’s a physically unreachable space (like around the side of the toilet because the gap is too small), it manages the entire house on its own. It maps rooms accurately, transitions between floor types effortlessly, avoids obstacles properly, and just gets on with the job without me feeling like I need to keep checking on it.
Disclosure: I was gifted this robot vacuum for the purpose of providing an honest review. All opinions expressed here are my own.

AdaptiLift™ Chassis Makes Everyday Cleaning Effortless
One of the standout features is the AdaptiLift™ chassis, which automatically adjusts the robot’s height depending on the floor surface it’s cleaning. You can actually see it adapt as it moves through the house, lifting itself when needed to maintain strong cleaning performance across carpets, hard floors, and uneven transitions between rooms. It handles thresholds smoothly and doesn’t struggle when moving from one flooring type to another, which helps the whole cleaning process feel much more seamless and uninterrupted.
I’ve also noticed it can adjust individual wheels to help free itself from awkward positions, which makes a bigger difference than you’d think in day-to-day use. Instead of stopping and waiting for help, it usually manages to correct itself and continue cleaning. That ability to recover on its own is part of what makes the whole experience feel so effortless because I’m not constantly stepping in to fix small issues or restart cleaning cycles.

Vacuuming and Mopping Performance
The 25,000Pa HyperForce® suction is seriously impressive in everyday use. Dust, crumbs, pet hair, fine dirt, and general debris are picked up properly, and I’ve noticed carpets look noticeably fresher after a clean. It has enough power to handle busy areas of the house without leaving little bits behind, and it doesn’t just skim over the surface pretending to clean. You can genuinely see the difference once it’s finished, especially in areas that tend to collect dust and hair quickly.

The dual spinning mop system is equally effective and honestly one of the biggest surprises for me. Instead of simply dragging a damp cloth across the floor, the rotating mop pads actively scrub while applying downward pressure. Kitchen mess, muddy footprints, spills, and everyday grime are cleaned far better than I expected, particularly in high-traffic areas that usually need frequent attention. Because it cleans consistently and keeps on top of everything automatically, the floors just stay clean without me needing to schedule separate vacuuming and mopping sessions throughout the week.
Automatic Mop Detachment Makes Mixed Flooring Easy
One of the smartest features on the Qrevo Edge 2 Pro is the automatic mop detachment system, and it’s much more advanced than simply lifting the mop pads slightly when carpet is detected. If the robot is running in vacuum-only mode or reaches an area where mopping isn’t needed, it actually returns to the dock and leaves the spinning mop pads behind before continuing the clean. It then heads back out as a vacuum-only robot, which means there’s no damp fabric sitting underneath while it cleans carpets and rugs.

That makes a noticeable difference in everyday use, especially in homes with mixed flooring. Carpets stay completely dry, there’s no risk of moisture transferring onto rugs, and vacuuming performance on carpet feels more effective because the robot isn’t dragging a damp mop with it. I also like that dirty mop pads from kitchen or bathroom areas aren’t being carried across carpeted rooms afterward. It all happens automatically in the background, but it’s one of those features that makes the entire cleaning process feel far more intelligent and genuinely hands-free.

The Dock Handles Almost Everything
The Multifunctional Dock 3.0 Hygiene+ is what really gives the Qrevo Edge 2 Pro that fully automated feeling. The dock automatically empties the dustbin, washes the mop pads with hot water, dries them with warm air, refills the robot’s water tank, dispenses detergent automatically, and even performs self-cleaning maintenance. So, there’s very little left for me to do besides refilling the clean water tank, emptying the dirty water and topping up the detergent when needed. I’m not constantly pulling hair out of rollers or rinsing dirty mop pads in the sink which I absolutely love!
The App Makes Custom Cleaning Easy
The Roborock app plays a big role in making the Qrevo Edge 2 Pro feel genuinely intelligent rather than just automated. Setting it up was quick, and the mapping was impressively accurate from the beginning. It divided the house into rooms correctly, recognised carpeted areas, and gave me the ability to customise almost every part of the cleaning experience. I can adjust suction power, mop intensity, cleaning order, schedules, and even create no-go zones or targeted room cleans depending on what the house needs that day.

What I’ve really appreciated is how flexible the app is once everything is configured. I can send the robot to clean a single room in a couple of taps, set routines that run automatically throughout the week, or tweak settings for different floor types and areas of the home. It also keeps track of maintenance reminders, cleaning history, and dock functions, which makes managing everything feel very simple. There are definitely a lot of features packed into the app, but after using it for a little while it becomes very intuitive, and it adds a level of convenience that makes the whole system feel much more personalised and effortless to use.

Slim Design That Reaches Hidden Areas
At just 7.98cm high, the Qrevo Edge 2 Pro easily fits under sofas, beds, cabinets, and other low furniture where dust tends to build up over time. Those hidden spaces are usually the areas that get neglected during regular cleaning simply because they’re annoying to reach, so having them cleaned automatically makes a noticeable difference to how fresh the house feels overall.
I also like that I don’t need to move furniture around or think about those areas anymore because the robot handles them as part of its normal cleaning routine. It’s one of those features that quietly improves the overall cleanliness of the home without demanding extra effort or attention.

Anti-Tangle Brushes Make a Big Difference
The dual anti-tangle system has genuinely impressed me, particularly because long hair has always been one of the most frustrating parts of maintaining my old stick vacuum. I felt like I was constantly cutting tangled hair away from the roller.
Thankfully, that hasn’t been the case with the Qrevo Edge 2 Pro. The brushes handle long hair without a worry, and even the tassels on my rugs haven’t caused issues. If you’ve got family members in your home with long hair you’ll appreciate this feature, trust me!
Voice Control Fits Naturally into Daily Life
The built-in voice assistant has ended up being far more useful than I expected. I can simply say things like “Hey Rocky, vacuum the house” or “Hey Rocky, mop the kitchen,” and it immediately starts cleaning without me needing to open the app or manually configure anything first.
That convenience works especially well during busy days when your hands are full or you’re trying to juggle multiple things at once. Instead of stopping what I’m doing to set up a cleaning cycle, I can just say what I need and let it take care of the rest.

Final Thoughts
The Roborock Qrevo Edge 2 Pro genuinely feels like a fully automated floor cleaning system rather than just another robot vacuum. Vacuuming and mopping have become something that simply happens in the background now, and the amount of effort required to keep floors consistently clean is minimal. Between the strong suction, effective scrubbing, intelligent navigation, obstacle avoidance, and automated dock maintenance, the entire experience feels incredibly polished and easy to live with.
The only small disappointment for me was that no cleaning solution was included in the box, which feels like something that should come standard at this premium price point. Still, after seeing how well it performs day after day, that annoyance feels pretty minor overall.
It has genuinely taken two major chores off my plate, vacuuming and mopping, and I honestly couldn’t imagine my life without it now. It has given me back so much time and my floors have never looked so clean.
At RRP $2799 it’s not cheap, but I have no hesitation in saying it’s an investment that you’d very quickly realise is worth every cent.
