Take The Kids to AFL Sunday Games for FREE

Finding inexpensive, yet fun activities to do with kids on the weekend can sometimes be a challenge. But the AFL Sunday Fundays are providing families an affordable day out at the footy, with kids under the age of 15 receiving free entry.

The Fundays involve activities for kids to enjoy at the Sunday matches including LEGO Playzones, the AFL Playground, Kick2Kick on the footy field after the games plus mascots for picture opportunities. Some match days will offer one-off events like the screening of Boss Baby movie at the Western Bulldogs and Melbourne game on Sunday 18th June.

Venues around the country will offer free junior general admission tickets for Sunday matches during the 2017 Toyota AFL Premiership Season. The venues taking part in the Sunday Funday campaign are the MCG, Etihad Stadium, Adelaide Oval, SCG, Manuka Oval, Metricon Stadium, the Gabba and Simonds Stadium.

The AFL Sunday Funday offers an affordable day out for the whole family to enjoy, while offering kids an opportunity to experience the AFL game. It can even be used as an exciting day out for school holidays.

Travis Auld, AFL General Manager of Clubs said, “We’re delighted to have matches across Australia where kids are provided the opportunity to experience the energetic and electric atmosphere of live Australian Football for free.

“Sunday matches are an appealing time-slot for families, and with the addition of free entry to kids under 15, it makes attending a match even more appealing because it’s an affordable day out.”

All minors under 15 attending the AFL for free on a Sunday MUST be accompanied by a paying adult. And the Sunday Fundays are only available at selected matches. Check out the website for more details.

If you want to introduce your kids to some fun footy atmosphere and excitement of watching a live game, take them out to an AFL Sunday Funday. It’s a great initiative to support and the kids will love it. Even dad might enjoy accompanying the kids on this family day out too. 😉
