Mum Can’t Tell Her Twins Apart So She Calls The Police To Help

Imagine not being able to tell your twins apart so you call the police to help. This is exactly what happened to one mum who says she can’t quite believe it came to this!

An Argentinian woman recently had to enlist outside help in order to identify which twin is which. Sofia Rodriguez, from Cordoba, says she used to use a coloured ribbon to help distinguish her son Valentin from his brother, Lorenzo. But when she removed the ribbon as it was getting too small she realised she wasn’t sure which twin was which! “It was crazy,” Rodriguez told Today. “I never thought I would get them confused.”

So what did she do? She went to the police, that’s what. In a tweet, Rodriguez explained that she went to the police to get her sons fingerprinted. Then hopefully they could compare them against Argentina’s National Registry of Persons (Renaper) records to determine which boy is which.

So that’s what happened. And after a few weeks the results came back and Rodriguez was back to knowing which twin was which.

Phew!!

After her story went viral, lots of people came forward to share their own tips of how to tell the twins apart. One person said that his mother used to put bracelets on him and his twin also. One on the right hand and the other brother on the left.

Another commenter suggested making prints of the babies feet, like fingerprints. The parents could then compare the prints and distinguish which twin is which.

And just when Rodriguez thought she was the worst mother ever, one person comforted by sharing the story she bathed and medicated the same twin twice by accident. “But they survived,” she added.
